Geographic Demography of New Students
New students in 2011-2012 matriculated to U Prep from 54 different schools (60 percent from independent schools and 40 percent from public schools). These students live as far north as Everett, as far south as DesMoines, as far east as Lake Sammamish, and as far west as West Seattle.

Transportation 
Approximately one quarter of our students commute to and from school using University Prep’s Metro Custom Bus system. With more than 85 pick-up and drop-off locations, it serves students who live throughout the Greater Seattle/Eastside area.

Food Service 
The Commons Café serves a variety of healthy, hot and cold options for breakfast, snack and lunch daily. Students may purchase a refillable meal card or pay cash for food and beverages.

After-School Activities

After School Check-In: Available to Middle School students daily from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. at no additional charge
Athletics: Open to Middle and Upper School students, with varied practices, game times and locations.

College Preparation
  • Over 115 national and international college representatives visit each fall.
  • U Prep’s standardized testing scores are well above the national average.
  • Seventy percent of the Class of 2011 were Washington State Scholars, with seven National Merit Commended Scholars, three National Merit Finalists and one National Achievement  Scholar.
  • One-hundred percent of the Class of 2011 is attending college this fall.
