Sibling Admission Process
The Admission Office is pleased to announce that beginning in 2008-2009 University Prep will offer sibling applicants an early admission process. The early sibling admission process is an effort to alleviate some of the stress on current U Prep families associated with the independent school admission process. We understand the commitment of time and resources required to apply to several schools. While University Prep does not guarantee acceptance to siblings, our program is a good match for the majority of sibling applicants. The early sibling process allows current families time between decision notification from University Prep and the application deadline to other independent schools, should they need to explore other educational options for their child. We will extend the courtesy of the early sibling process to children of faculty and staff.
Below are the early sibling admission dates for 2009-2010:
October 15 Online preliminary application deadline
Oct/November Campus visits and interviews, optional parent tours
November 20 Final application deadline
December 17 Decision notification
February 19 Enrollment contract and deposit deadline
In order to participate in this process, siblings must take the Independent School Entrance Exam by the first weekend in December.
To begin the early sibling admission process, simply visit our admission page at www.universityprep.org/admission. Complete and submit the online preliminary application with the $65 application fee by October 15, 2009.
In addition to the online preliminary application, please remember the following items are due in the admission office by November 20, 2009:
* Student Essay
* Parent Statement
* Two completed Teacher Evaluation forms
* Official transcripts or school records
