Admission Testing

We use the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) as our admission test.

The ISEE measures both ability to learn, through verbal and quantitative reasoning sections, and achievement, through reading comprehension and mathematics achievement sections.

As educators, we are aware of what multiple-choice tests tell us -- and what they don't tell us -- about a student. We know that such qualities as empathy, vision, motivation, patience, creativity, and a whole array of other human qualities cannot be addressed by a standardized test. We use many factors besides standardized test results when making admission decisions.

The ISEE Online Student Guide is available from University Prep; this guide includes the form required to register for the test, describes the test, and leads you to the ISEE Web site for more information and sample test questions. We encourage you to register for the ISEE test online at http://www.iseetest.org.

Registration fee for the ISEE is $89.  If the registration fee is burdensome to you, you may request a fee waiver.
