Upcoming Events

On February 8, one of the most popular programs is back: Summer Opportunities Panel for University Prep students and parents. Adults and students will present a dynamic panel, sharing practical tips, resources and the inside scoop on summer opportunities. This event is recommended for families with students in ninth through twelfth grade. Join us in the Commons for pizza and refreshments at 6:30 p.m. The program will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

On March 6, U Prep's Parent Education Committee is excited to co-sponsor, in association with our sister schools and Parent Map, a talk by author, speaker, and child psychologist Dr. Anthony Wolf. The author of several parenting books, including Get Out Of My Life, But First Could You Drive Me and Cheryl to the Mall?, Dr. Wolf will speak on "Aliens on Planet Teen: A Survival Guide for Parents." The talk is geared to Middle and Upper School parents and will be held at Town Hall from 7 - 9 p.m. A limited number of half-price tickets will be available in person at upcoming Parent Ed events for $10, and also can be purchased online at Brown Paper tickets (for discount code, see all-school email).

Prior to Dr. Wolf’s talk, a book discussion about his new book, I'd Listen to My Parents If They'd Just Shut Up: What to Say and Not Say When Parenting Teens, will be held on February 23 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the home of a U Prep family. More information will be forthcoming via all-school email.

On March 18 , we will hold a community potluck dinner and conversation on the topic of social class. More information will be forthcoming.

On April 26, Lori Gradinger will return to speak on “Raising Confident and Compassionate Kids.”
