Upper School English Teacher

Qualifications:
University Prep seeks a dynamic individual committed to adolescent education. Candidates must possess demonstrated competence and experience in the content area and pedagogy. A master's degree in English and recent successful teaching experience are preferred. Successful candidates will have flexibility, energy, enthusiasm, high expectations and an understanding of the developmental needs of Upper School aged students. Reports to: Director of Upper School
Basic responsibilities:
The Upper School English Teacher will be responsible for teaching at least four sections of Upper School English.
Duties:
University Prep seeks a full-time English teacher to assume the following responsibilities:
- Teach at least four sections of Upper School English
- Serve as an advisor to 10-12 Upper School students
- Actively participate in the life of the school as a coach or club advisor
- Perform other non-teaching duties as assigned by the Director of Upper School
