Parent Council Fundraising Activities
University Prep’s Parent Council conducts two major fundraising activities each year. In addition, the council provides hundreds of volunteer hours for events throughout the school year, including the All-School Barbecue, Open Houses, Annual Fund, and the Auction.

Auction
The annual Auction is the second most important fundraising activity during the school year after the Annual Fund. Parents plan and produce the gala event to raise money for student financial aid, faculty professional development, and projects and equipment that enhance student life. Each year, Parent Council earmarks a portion of the proceeds for a special project through Fund-A-Need.

Special Projects Fund
Parent Council annually seeds the Special Projects Fund with $5,000 (or five percent, whichever is greater) from Auction proceeds. This fund supports faculty, staff and students.
