UPrep Student Represents Washington State at Korean American Grassroots Conference

Continuing to demonstrate intellectual courage and social responsibility -- the pillars of UPrep's mission -- rising 7th grader Katherine Kang represented Washington State at the Korean American Grassroots Conference as a middle school student. While in Washington, D.C., Katherine met with Senator Murray and Representatives Jayapal, Smith, and DelBene, and asked them about Korean American relations. She also stated her concerns about bullying and hate-based crimes in schools and communities and asked about any pending legislation on that front.
