Volunteer Opportunities Parent volunteerism is the strongest model for shaping good service habits among students. To help you find the activity that matches your interest and the time you have available, please send a query to volunteer@universityprep.org Volunteer possibilities include advising a school club, speaking about your profession to a class, driving on field trips, chaperoning social events, cooking for a faculty/staff lunch, or hosting long- or short-term international students. Grandparents and Grandfriends Day brings a host of senior citizens to visit our campus. Volunteers assist with directions, photographs, and lunch. Creative folks might find their niche supporting school music, art, and drama efforts. Those with a flair for growing things can help keep our campus beautiful. Each spring at the gala fundraising Auction, parents and community members attend the big event and contribute auction items, sponsorships, in-kind donations, and time and talent. Volunteers create a wonderful evening with a different theme each year. Whether it is on or off campus, with students or with parents, volunteerism offers a great reward to all concerned. |
