Meet Our Team

Cindy joined UPrep in 2022. She previously worked as the Marketing Manager at Southwest Airlines, Marketing Chair and Website Manager at the Assistance League of Seattle, and Co-Chair of the Associated Friends of Roosevelt Drama (AFORD). She earned her BA in English Literature from University of Washington.

Ryan joined UPrep in 2022 as Director of Enrollment Management. He received his BA in Government from Skidmore College, his MA in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University, and his Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from New Mexico State University.

Before coming to UPrep, Ryan served as Director of Enrollment, Marketing, and Communications at the Bosque School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has also previously served as the Director of Admissions and Marketing at Metropolitan School of Panama (Panama City), led admissions at Leman Manhattan Preparatory School (New York City) and GEMS Worldwide Academy (Chicago), and was the Assistant Director of Admissions at Francis W. Parker School (Chicago).

Melaine joined UPrep in 2003 after working as the activities director at Camp Vega for Girls in Fayette, Maine, for 6 years. She has a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Western Washington University. She has been a Middle School advisor since 2010. Families can go to Melaine for assistance or questions about our Middle School and Upper School programs at UPrep. She also oversees ISEE and SSAT administration at UPrep and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about those tests.

In her free time, Melaine enjoys Pilates, strength training, gardening, and working on home projects.

Chuck joined UPrep in the fall of 2024 as assistant director of admission for outreach and engagement. Prior to joining the Admission Team, Chuck worked for the nonprofit organization Harlem Lacrosse, supporting students of color with academic mentoring, social-emotional development, and admissions counseling for independent schools. Chuck was raised on Bainbridge Island and graduated from Western Washington University in 2013. In his free time, he likes to stay active through lacrosse, golf, skiing, hiking, and going for long walks with his wife and their dog, Frankie. Chuck is most excited to get to know the UPrep teachers and families and looks forward to finding new families join our community in the future.

Doug joined UPrep in 2021. A graduate of Washington State University, Doug previously served as the assistant director of admissions and financial aid at Lakeside School, admissions and LEEP associate at Lakeside School, and academic counselor at Rainier Scholars. 

In his free time Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing and watching basketball and football, cooking, and keeping up with an active 12-year-old pit bull mix, Diva.
