Tuition and Fees

UPrep tuition for the 2019-2020 academic year is:

  • $35,670 for Middle School
  • $36,750 for Upper School

For planning purposes, please note that tuition is not inclusive of all expenses associated with an education at UPrep. Rather, it is important to consider items like the ones below when budgeting for the total cost of attendance, which varies by student. Please note that these are estimates.

Technology: $600-1500

Middle School (MS) students are required to use an iPad while Upper School (US) students are required to have a personal laptop.

Textbooks: $200-400

Prices for textbooks vary greatly depending on grade and courses in which a student is enrolled.

Lunch: $10/day

Lunch is another cost that varies by student. UPrep's Commons Cafe provides students the opportunity to purchase daily breakfast, snacks and lunch. Other students choose to bring their lunch from home.

Orca pass: $1000/year

Another optional fee, for those students that take our custom metro bus or public transportation daily to and from UPrep, we are proud to subsidize the fee and provide an annual bus pass.

Global Link: $1250-2590

Should your student choose to participate in a Global Link trip, the fee is $1250 for domestic destinations and $2950 for international trips. As this is one of the highest costs outside of tuition, there are need-based grants for which all families can apply.

Musical Instrument: $55/month

UPrep works with Metropolitan Music to provide students participating in Orchestra or Band with rented instruments.

Ski Bus: $400

Ski Bus is an optional activity that many students take part in. UPrep partners with Stevens Pass to offer discounted lift passes, gear rental, and transportation to and from school.

Miscellaneous Fees: vary by student

Including but not limited to athletic gear, ticketed events (Prom, Homecoming, etc.), college applications and testing fees.

While the responsibility of financing a student's independent school education rests with the family, we also recognize that a full tuition investment may be a burden to your family. If this is the case, please explore our need-based Financial Aid program.
