An Independent School Is For Everyone By UPrep

UPrep Financial Aid Program

“I am so grateful for the support that we’ve received from UPrep. I am blown away that the school has been able to support our student and our family through financial aid grants during his time here.” –Current UPrep parent

We understand that investing in an independent school education is a significant decision for your family. That is why UPrep is dedicated to opening doors. Each year, we award nearly $5 million in need-based financial aid, ensuring that qualified students can join our community, regardless of economic circumstances. Today, nearly one in five UPrep students receive this support.

Please do not let cost concerns discourage you from exploring what UPrep has to offer. Our financial aid is awarded entirely as grants, meaning it is an investment in your student that never has to be repaid. We invite you to discover how we can partner with you to make a UPrep education a reality for your family.

How Our Program Works

Our need-based financial aid grants range from $5,000 to over $48,500. To determine an equitable contribution for each unique family, we consider a variety of factors:

  • Income and household expenses
  • Family assets and liabilites
  • Unusual or unexpected expenses
  • The number of children attending tuition-charging schools

Beyond tuition: The Full uprep experience

We believe a student's education should be comprehensive. To ensure every UPrep student can fully participate in school life, our Financial Aid program covers not just tuition, but also all associated fees.

If your family qualifies for financial aid, you will receive matching, percentage-based support for extra expenses, including:

  • Textbooks and technology
  • School lunches and transportation
  • Field trips, retreats, and Global Link experiences
  • Dances and other co-curriculuar activites

Our Percentage-Based Model: If a student receives a grant that covers 80 percent of tuition, UPrep will also cover 80 percent of any additional school fees. To see how this works in practive, please expolore our Financial Aid Profiles.
