Middle School

"I believe UPrep strikes the right balance with our athletics program. Our focus is on inclusion, and we make that a reality through our no-cut program. But, we also strive for excellence and are in it to win it. This means that we support the student who has never played a sport before, as well as the student athlete who is striving to win a state championship.” –Athletics Director Rebecca Moe

Middle School Athletics is a co-curricular program that provides all students with the opportunity to participate, build their skills, learn sportsmanship, and experience being a productive team member.  At the beginning of each season, participants are evaluated and placed on skill-appropriate teams (Division I, Division II, or Division III) and compete against other teams of similar skill level in the Cross Town Middle School League. We have a no-cut policy for our program and will make as many teams as possible to support our students. Our Upper School coaches work closely with the Middle School program to ensure that students are learning the skills necessary to be able to contribute at higher levels. A great example of this can be found in this article, written in 2015 by Alec Duxbury (Head Coach, Boys & Girls Soccer).
