Empowerment Project Documentary Film, Panel Discussion, and Q&A, Wednesday, April 3

University Prep is excited to host a collaborative event sponsored by Charles Schwab and Badgley Phelps Wealth Managers. The Empowerment Project is the story of five young female filmmakers who drove across the country to inspire women to pursue their career ambitions. The documentary highlights eight dynamic women leaders in traditionally male-dominated careers. Read more details about this exciting event on the Prep Talk blog post by UPrep parent Andrea Durbin.

After viewing the 45-minute film, a panel of local women leaders--including two UPrep parents!-- will discuss how girls, young women, and all women can take ownership in their education, careers, finances, and other aspects of their lives. The panel will include: Regina Cahan, King County Superior Court Judge; Dawn Lepore, Corporate Director at RealNetworks; Annie Liu, CFP, PNW Regional Manager for Schwab; Ambika Singh, Founder and CEO of Armoire; and Sally Bergesen, Founder and CEO of Oiselle.

While the emphasis is on girls and women, we invite you to bring the whole family and anyone else you think may benefit from this important topic. Welcome and registration at 6:30 p.m., film screening in Founders Hall at 7:00 p.m., followed by the panel discussion and Q&A. You may RSVP here although it is not required for entry.
