Putting the College Search in Perspective for Junior Families
The College Counseling Office held its fall College Night for juniors and their families on Wednesday. The evening sets the stage for junior year testing and college visits, provides a "to do" list and timeline, and strives to put the application process into proper perspective. Admissions representatives from Carleton College, Willamette University, Pitzer College, and Muhlenberg College participated in a panel discussion and then led break-out sessions on selective college admissions, do's and don'ts of college visits, essays and interviews, and standardized testing. Director of Upper School Ken Jaffe made opening remarks, and UPrep's learning and testing specialist presented on testing accommodations.
