Puma Update on Final Spring Sports Competitions

The spring season is coming to its conclusion with the Pumas headed to championship competitions in multiple sports. Here are the latest updates.

Track & Field
The boys team won the team League Championship and many Pumas were crowned individual League Champions last Thursday in West Seattle. Next up is the District Meet this week at King's High School in Shoreline. The prelims are this Thursday and the finals on Saturday.

It was a fun-filled postseason with the Pumas sending two doubles teams and two singles players to league games. On Saturday, a bittersweet paring had our two doubles teams playing each other in a loser-out match. The winners moved on to play the Bush School and won quickly in two sets. They finished 3rd and earned All-League. They advance to the District Tournament on Friday at Amy Yee with the first match scheduled for 8:30 a.m..

The Varsity Boys Soccer Team showed up in Bellingham on Saturday hungry to win and scored seven goals! The Pumas won 7-1 and are headed to the State Tournament. They will face the Pirates of Vashon Island High School at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The brackets can be seen at http://wiaa.com/ardisplay.aspx?ID=1748.

The Varsity Baseball team also played in Bellingham this Saturday at the Bi District Championship. The Pumas had an early lead and played some strong baseball, but unfortunately ended up losing 8-9. Next they will head to the State Regionals this Saturday where they will play Montesano at 10:00 a.m. at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma. If they win, they will play a second game at 3:00 p.m. (vs Cedar Park/Charles Wright winner). The state line up for 1A Baseball is at http://wiaa.co./ardisplay.aspx?ID=1752.

The Varsity Girls Ultimate team secured a place in the League Wildcard Game vs Seattle Academy, and will play on Wednesday at Delridge Field at 3:30 p.m.
