UPrep Varsity Baseball Headed to District and State

The Varsity Baseball team played in two highly competitive contests in Bellingham this weekend, and now moves on to the District Championship and then to State.

In the first game, the Pumas played South Whidbey at Sehome High School, winning 4-2. In the second game was played at Joe Martin Field, starting about two hours behind schedule. The Pumas faced Meridian High School, who had just come off a 10-0 win over King's. The Pumas held on to win 6-4. Both of yesterday's wins were total team efforts, and lots of fun to watch!

The Pumas are now headed to the District Championship Game next Saturday, May 12. They will play Cedar Park at 2:30 p.m. at Joe Martin Field. The Pumas have clinched a berth to the State Regionals, the first time in over a decade! Their placement on the State bracket depends on their finish next Saturday.

Go Pumas!
