Student Life

I think what sets UPrep apart from other schools is the amount of trust and voice we give to our students. We support and help develop each student's sense of self-advocacy for how they want to be seen, accepted, and interacted with, and we have strongly developed support systems woven throughout the school. –Learning Specialist Julie Smith

Classes, homework, and friends take up a large portion of a student’s day, but there is even more to student life at UPrep! On any given day, our students could lead a club (or two!), plan a dance, engage in affinity groups like the Queer Student Union, and build robots in the Makerspace

The school day doesn’t end at 2:55. Most of our students play one or more of the many sports offered by our Athletics Department, participate in clubs that meet outside of regular school hours, such as Debate or Robotics, and travel to snowy destinations on the Ski Bus.

Every adult at UPrep will go the extra mile (or miles) to support students and find opportunities to engage with them in different ways. There is so much more happening here beyond the learning in classrooms." –Assistant Director of Middle School Tim Blok
