Student Life

UPrep is my favorite place in the world!" –Alexa C., Upper School student

Classes, homework, and friends take up a large portion of a student’s day, but there is even more to student life at UPrep! On any given day, our students could lead a club (or two!), plan a dance, play on a sports team, and build robots in the Makerspace.

The school day doesn’t end at 2:55. Most of our students play one or more of the many no-cut sports offered by our Athletics Department, participate in clubs that meet outside of regular school hours, such as Mock Trial or Robotics, and travel to snowy destinations on the Ski Bus.

UPrep students acquire leadership skills in clubs or ASB (our student council), engage in affinity groups like the Queer Student Union, and practice their public speaking skills on the Debate Team.

In Middle School, we quickly learned that we were the ones to shape our UPrep experience. Any student could start a club, run for student government, or be a part of a sports team. On the first day of cross-country practice, I met a teammate who was also interested in practicing yoga. Just a few days later, we were standing on the stage of Founders at an assembly introducing the Yoga Club together, with full support from Yoga Teacher Ms. Klein.” –Katherine Kang ’23
Every person will go the extra mile or miles to support students and to find opportunities to engage with them in different ways. There is so much more happening here beyond the learning in classrooms." –Assistant Director of Middle School Tim Blok
